# Registration fee includes the conference dinner on Sept. 13.

# Accommodation fee is not included in the registration fee.


Please make a hotel reservation on your own. Accommodations are not included in the conference registration fee. Kanazawa is a famous tourist destination and hotels fill up quickly, therefore we strongly recommend that you book your hotel as soon as possible. Hotel information is listed here.

Optional events

As optional events, we schedule an excursion and dinners as follows. To join the events, you are supposed to pay the additional fee mentioned below at the time of registration on this website.

Excursion (Sept. 14 / 5,000 JPY per person):
We will take you on a bus trip around Kanazawa – for example, experiencing of Gold Leaf (Kinpaku) application, tour of Eihei-ji Temple (Japan’s largest Zen Buddhist temple founded in 1244), and visiting Kutani Ceramics Museum. “Kutani” is traditional pottery ware developed around Kanazawa. This bus trip will be a precious opportunity for you to explore a deep Japanese culture.
We will leave Kanazawa station about 9 a.m. and return around 5 p.m. It is possible to take a train for Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka after this excursion.

Optional dinner 1 (Sept. 11 / 2,500 JPY per person):
Kanazawa is famous for their cuisine culture, rich in the fresh seafood and locally-produced vegetables. We chose good “Izakaya”, which is a Japanese-style pub, so that you can enjoy the various dishes with its friendly and festive atmosphere.

Optional dinner 2 (Sept. 12 / 2,500 JPY per person):
You can also have a lovely dinner in another style of Izakaya, where you will find new collaboration of Western and Japanese foods.

Visa Information

All visitors must have a valid passport to enter Japan. In addition, participants from a certain countries require visa. To check your requirements, please contact Japanese Embassy or Consulate nearest to your residential area, or visit the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan ( ). ( 1 ) Before your request or inquiry, you should complete your registration and payment to the conference, and book your air ticket and accommodation.

( 2 ) Please include the following information in your e-mail.
・Your registration ID number
・Your postal address (where the documents should be sent to) and phone number
・Names and Job titles of all visa applicants

( 3 ) For non-participants of MTB2018, we do not issue any documents for visa application.

( 4 ) Our support and issued documents do not guarantee your admission into Japan.
